Location: Groire is a small hamlet approximately 1km from Murol and 2km from Lac Chambon, 6km from Saint-Nectaire, 10km from Besse en Chandesse and 35km from Clermont Ferrand (45 minutes from Vulcania), in the heart of the Sancy mountains.
The chalets were completed in Spring 2003 and are approximately 15 minutes walk from the local shops. Murol is famous for it's Château with it's mediaeval re-enactments in season and is a good base for walking and cross country cycling. There is a pleasant park close to the centre of Murol with a tennis court available for public use. Other places of interest to visit in the locality include the lovely Chaudefour valley; Lac Chambon where you can swim, windsurf, fish or hire a pedalo; at Saint - Nectaire visit the Romanesque church, the caves and the thermal baths or; Besse en Chandesse, a charming mediaeval village, close to the volcanic crater Lake Pavin; Also, there are many traditional French markets throughout the region.
Your holiday accommodation: The chalet of 40m2 is in a quiet location, comfortable and with good views of the surrounding countryside. It is on one level and comprises:
A small covered terrace of approximately 6.50m² - 1 bedroom with one double bed - 1 small bedroom with 2 bunkbeds (one of 140cm and one of 80cm) - 1 well equipped kitchen/living room with dishwasher micro-wave - 1 shower room and separate WC. A shared laundry is available with washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing board.
